Kansas City's Largest Locally-Owned Accounting Firm Adds
Three Tax Specialists to its Growing Ranks
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - MarksNelson, Kansas City's largest locally-owned accounting firm, is pleased to announce the additions of Crystal Anderson, Emily Baird and Shelly Doerhoff as staff accountants within the firm's accounting services department. The new additions occur during a period of growth at the firm.
"We're excited to add these three young professionals to our accounting services team," Accounting Services Manager Margo Hoegler said. "They all bring different skills and work experience to our team and will contribute to our goal of delivering timely and reliable accounting, consulting advice and payroll and sales/use tax compliance to our clients."
As staff accountant, Anderson brings more than three years of experience ranging from working on client financial statements to preparing federal and state payroll reports. Anderson earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and Masters of Arts in Accountancy degree from the University of Central Missouri. At MarksNelson, she will assist clients with financial accounting and payroll tax compliance.
Baird is a Certified Public Accountant joining the MarksNelson accounting services team. She earned her Master's degree in Professional Accounting with an Emphasis in Taxation from The University of Texas at Austin after graduating from The University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree. Baird has both private and public accounting experience and has previously worked as a tax consultant at a Big 4 firm. Her most recent experience included portfolio management and accounting for a local company.
With nearly four years experience in tax and accounting services, Doerhoff joins MarksNelson with a diverse skill set. She has worked in both public and private accounting providing audit, compliance, tax, write-up and compilation services for a variety of nonprofit, government, business and individual clients. As a Certified Public Accountant, Doerhoff's responsibilities include providing timely and accurate financial records and advising on accounting treatments for transactions and events. Doerhoff attended The University Missouri-Kansas City where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree and Master's of Science in Accounting degree.
