Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP held its inaugural Entrepreneurial Experience: Career, Clients & Community in June. The firm hosted 20 students from eight universities across the state of Minnesota.
The program was designed to enhance the students' understanding of what it's like to work for a CPA firm and to better understand the careers paths they can pursue with a degree in accounting.
Program modules included two job shadowing opportunities, panel discussions, working on and presenting client case studies to partners, volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, interviewing with the firm for internship and post-graduation positions, and exploring the Minneapolis riverfront on a Segway tour. All programming was concentrated on the theme that each student's career is an open road and that they are in the driver's seat.
The wrap ceremony was captured in an energetic video. The LBL team surprised the students with a flash mob to close out our journey together.
LBL is thankful for all the talented students and our internal participants for making the event such a great success. If you have questions regarding the Entrepreneurial Experience or would like details on next year's program, contact Ashley Carroll at email@example.com or 612-381-8771.
