Fort Wayne, Ind. - Fraud, waste and abuse in smaller, non-public companies are on the rise according to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). They estimate that more than 5% of gross revenue is lost every year in companies that do not have proper internal controls in place.
Baden Gage & Schroeder has hired an expert in forensics, fraud and litigation to help the business community defend and recover from these losses. Ken W. Stalcup, CPA, CFE, CFF, CGMA, has over 25 years of professional experience in public accounting, including forensic services and litigation support.
In addition to being a CPA, Ken is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and certified in financial forensics (CFF). Ken is a graduate of Butler University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
"Forensics is a growing market and Baden is excited about having the expertise on staff with Ken to provide this value-added service to our business community," said Christine Hootman, Managing Director.
