Hays, KS - Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball, Chartered (ABBB) is pleased to announce that Meagan Wellbrock recently achieved the CPA Green Belt certification with Lean Six Sigma.
"This certification is a testament to Meagan's dedication to her work and her clients," said Brian Staats, CPA, managing partner at ABBB. "We extend a warm, sincere congratulations on her achievement."
To earn this certification, participants attend a week long training session to learn the principles of Lean Six Sigma and apply them in simulations. The participants are then required to facilitate a project at their workplace utilizing the concepts, techniques and project tools applicable to Lean Six Sigma.
These project tools are submitted to a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and graded, to ensure the concepts are being properly applied. Once approved by the Master Black Belt, the certification process is complete. Wellbrock selected the project of the Individual Tax Return process for her certification requirements.
Wellbrock joined the firm in 2006. She serves as a manager, with experience in governmental, nonprofit, commercial and employee benefit plan audits, as well as tax services.
Wellbrock holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, with a minor in Finance, from Fort Hays State University. She is a board member of the United Way of Ellis County and the American Red Cross. In addition, Wellbrock is a member of the Kansas Society of CPAs (KSCPA), where she serves on the Audit and Assurance Task Force. She previously served on the KSCPA's Governmental and Not-for-Profit Conference steering committee in June 2014.
