Tempe -Henry & Horne, LLP team members stepped out for breast cancer in October to raise money to help fight the disease.

Through a firm-wide wellness initiative in which team members wear Fitbits, the Firm pledged to donate ten cents for every mile employees walked in October. Over the course of the month, they walked 6,420.23 miles and Henry & Horne, LLP donated $642.02 to the Susan G. Komen Organization.

"The health of our team members and their families is important to Henry & Horne, LLP. It's not just about staying active. It's about bringing awareness and education to diseases that could affect anyone. By using our Fitbit program to highlight National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, we are not only encouraging our employees to literally step out and stay fit, but we are also helping to bring attention and funds to a disease that impacts so many," said Kristin Buser, Team Engagement Manager, Community Service Committee Chair.

Susan G. Komen provides education, supports research, advocates for better breast cancer policy and more. Last year, their community grants helped provide support for more than 50,000 families impacted by breast cancer.
