Audit and Assurance Services:

James Dickinson to Audit Supervisor

James joined Tate & Tryon in 2011 as a Staff Auditor.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and Management from Radford University where he also served as controller for the university's Alpha Kappa Psi chapter.

Todd Petrich, CPA to Audit Supervisor

Todd joined Tate & Tryon in 2013 as an audit senior after previously working at accounting firms in Bethesda and Chicago.  Todd holds a Master's degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a Master's degree in Taxation from DePaul University.  Todd is a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA).

Danny Birmingham, CPA to Audit Senior

Danny joined Tate & Tryon in 2012 as a staff auditor.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland College Park.

Daniel Wan to Audit Senior

Daniel joined Tate & Tryon in 2013 as a staff auditor.  Daniel holds a Master's degree in Accounting from the College of William and Mary and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Penn State University.  Before coming to Tate & Tryon, Daniel worked in Taiwan as an English teacher and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bulgaria.

Jessica Schneider to Audit Senior

Jessica first began her career with Tate & Tryon in 2012 as an audit intern in the Firm's summer learning program.  She returned in the fall of 2013 as a staff auditor after graduating Virginia Tech with Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance.  Jessica is currently in the process of sitting for the CPA exam.

Patrick Stoltzfus, CPA to Audit Senior

Patrick joined Tate & Tryon in the fall of 2013 as a staff auditor after graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting.  Prior to becoming a full time employee, Patrick worked as an audit intern in the Firm's summer learning program for two consecutive summers.

Richard Gibbons, CPA to Audit Senior

Richard joined Tate & Tryon in the fall of 2013 as a staff auditor.  He holds Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Maryland and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Exempt Organization Tax Services:

Jason Connell to Tax Supervisor

Jason joined Tate & Tryon in 2009 as a staff tax accountant.  He has authored numerous articles for the Firm's News of the Exchequer weekly email alert on topics such as reporting program service revenue on the Form 990 and compliance with the Lobbying Disclosure Act.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Salisbury University and is in the process of sitting for the CPA exam.

Sara Smith to Tax Supervisor

Sara joined Tate & Tryon in 2011 as a staff tax accountant.  She is a member of the Firm's Tax Technical Issues committee which is tasked with researching and identifying the Firm's positions on a variety of complex tax issues.  In addition, she has authored numerous articles for the Firm's weekly News of the Exchequer email.  Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Miami University.

Matt Vivona to Tax Senior

Matt joined Tate & Tryon in 2012 as a staff tax accountant.  During this time, he has authored numerous articles for the Firm's weekly News of the Exchequer email alert addressing topics such as employees vs. independent contractors and Form 990 reporting requirements of the governing body.  Matt holds a Master's degree in Accounting from Binghamton University and recently passed the third section of the CPA exam.

Outsourced Services:

Miles Workman to Controller

Miles joined Tate & Tryon in 2008 as a senior accountant and has more than 11 years of accounting experience.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Davis & Elkins College and is in the process of sitting for the CPA exam.

Young Kim, CPA to Controller

Young joined Tate & Tryon in 2012 as a senior accountant after previously serving as a Controller for the YMCA of Superior California.  Young holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University and is a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA).

Billy Sissamis to Supervising Senior Accountant

Billy Sissamis joined Tate & Tryon in the spring of 2011 as a staff accountant.  He periodically writes for the Firm's monthly newsletter and has addressed topics such as rolling forecasts and implementing cloud accounting systems.  Billy holds a Master's degree from American University.

Alyshia Allison to Senior Accountant

Alyshia joined Tate & Tryon in 2012 as a staff accountant.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Management from Liberty University and is in the process of sitting for the CPA exam.

Andrew Smith-Mui, CPA to Senior Accountant

Andrew joined Tate & Tryon in 2010 as a staff accountant.  He holds a Master of Accounting from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.  Andrew is a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA).

Callen Erdeky to Senior Accountant

Callen joined Tate & Tryon in 2014 as a staff accountant.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Clemson University and is currently pursuing her MBA at The George Washington University.

Meghan Morch to Senior Accountant

Meghan first began her career with Tate & Tryon in 2011 as an accounting intern in the Firm's summer learning program.  She returned in the fall of 2012 as a full time staff accountant after graduating Marymount University with a BBA in Accounting.  Meghan is currently in the process of sitting for the CPA exam.

Ali Farhat, CPA to Senior Staff Accountant

Ali first began his career with Tate & Tryon in 2012 as an accounting intern in the Firm's summer learning program.  He was later hired full time in the winter of 2013 after graduating from Marymount University.  Ali is a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA).

Peter Viviano to Senior Staff Accountant

Peter joined Tate & Tryon in 2014 as a staff accountant.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Pensacola Christian College and is currently in the process of sitting for the CPA exam.
