Private Client Practice Grows with the addition of Mitchell S. Halpern, JD
KLR a premier accounting and business consulting firm, today announced that it has added Mitchell S. Halpern, JD to its Private Client Service (PCS) team. Mitchell has approximately thirty years of experience specializing in tax and financial advice specific to professional athletes, entertainers and high net worth individuals, including proper reporting of income, maximizing allowable deductions and other issues related to multi-state, estate and gift taxation.

Mitchell received his BS in Communications Management from Ithaca College and a JD from Boston University School of Law. He has authored and published a chapter on state taxation of professional athletes and has been asked to speak on this topic at national conferences. He is often consulted by sports agents for his expertise in various aspects of the taxation of professional athletes and has been quoted in various newspapers including New York Newsday, Forbes, Boston Business Journal and the Boston Globe.
Mitchell will be a welcome addition to KLR's Global Tax Blog. He will write on topics discussing tax issues related to athletes and private clients.
