Information technology is an industry in which professionals strive to achieve high levels of success and must be committed to regularly developing their skills and knowledge in order to do so.  Earning the respect of strategic partners is just one step toward accomplishing this goal.

David Rice, a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC (Dean Dorton) was recently named to Cisco’s Small Midmarket Business (SMB) Partner Advisory Board.  The SMB Advisory Board is an exclusive group of Cisco partners that have access to Cisco Executives and Cisco’s Senior Management team.  Of Cisco’s more than 80,000 partners, only 40 of them are members on the SMB Advisory Board.

Cisco meets with members once a year over a two year term on the board to foster discussions about small business products, solutions, services, marketing tools, new initiatives and more. Being chosen to participate as a member of the SMB Advisory Board is extremely rewarding, providing Rice a chance to help shape Cisco’s overall strategy and direction within the midmarket sector.

Of the approximately 40 partners who were nominated by their Cisco colleagues, Rice was among the privileged few who were accepted into the SMB Advisory Board program.

“I am truly honored to be part of the SMB Advisory Board,” says Rice.  “This is a unique opportunity to work with Cisco who is a valued Dean Dorton partner and to advocate on behalf of our clients.  I am looking forward to having direct input on technological advancements and products Cisco introduces for small businesses across the country.”

Cisco is the worldwide leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate, and collaborate.  Dean Dorton is a preferred local Cisco Premier partner.

Rice joined Dean Dorton in 2015.  Rice earned his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science in 2000 from Transylvania University.
