Springfield, MO – KPM CPAs & Advisors (KPM) was recently recognized by the United Way of the Ozarks (United Way) at their annual meeting on April 13, 2016 at the White River Conference Center. The United Way presented KPM with the ‘Leo’s Champions’ award for achieving a 15 percent or greater increase in employee contributions during their 2015 Annual Campaign and also recognized KPM for having a top 50 local campaign. In addition, Lori Melton, firm administrator, and Crystal Mapp, marketing director, received special recognition as ‘Employee Campaign Manager Champions’ for 2015.

“We were thrilled to be recognized for our increased participation over the last year. We truly put an added focus on our 2015 United Way campaign as part of the launch of our KPM CARES (Community Action Requires Engaged Societies) initiative,” stated KPM Marketing Director, Crystal Mapp. “We look forward to seeing what we can accomplish during our 2016 campaign.”

This annual event recognizes companies in the community that have made a commitment to giving back to United Way through volunteerism and financial donations. In 2015, KPM’s employee campaign participation increased by 20 percent, and, for the first time, the firm pledged a 25 percent match of employee contributions. KPM also once again sponsored the United Way’s annual ‘Day of Caring’ event in 2015 and had three teams of employee volunteers working on projects at Harmony House, Isabel’s House, and The Kitchen, Inc.
