Knoxville, TN, – LBMC, a top 50 firm in the nation and one of the Southeast’s largest accounting and business consulting firms, proudly announced executive leadership appointments to bolster strategic initiatives centered around client service and company growth. The company, which recently surpassed 500 total employees, brought in physician practice tax leader Janice Sansing from Elliott Davis Decosimo effective July 1. She brings with her a team of six further enhancing LBMC’s Healthcare expertise as the firm expands to accommodate the vast growth in this arena. In addition, LBMC has named corporate tax outsourcing expert Justin W. Follis, a Shareholder as he returns to Knoxville bringing with him recent big four accounting firm experience dealing with complex tax issues filling a growing need for more sophisticated tax resources that many are seeking from providers outside of the Knoxville market.

“Each of these valuable leaders have the proven ability to facilitate strategies for consistent and sustainable growth while maintaining award-winning client service,” said Jeff Drummonds, CEO of LBMC. “The backgrounds and leadership roles are in key growth areas for our firm; healthcare and tax outsourcing, as we continue to provide solutions for our clients’ expanding needs. Their leadership, commitment and expertise and their comprehensive capabilities align with our core values attracting the best clients by providing solutions offered by the industry’s best talent. That is what has made LBMC the firm of choice in Tennessee and we look forward to what these additional team members will do in the future in Knoxville.”

Sansing has the proven ability to direct and assist Physicians & Physician Practices with tax and accounting needs in the ever changing landscape of healthcare tax. She has more than 30 years of experience providing tax compliance and planning services for physicians and their practices. She also coordinates personal tax planning with individual physicians and advises medical clients in determining the allocation of income among physicians in group settings, and serves clients in the areas of physician group mergers and sales.

“After being with LBMC for a few weeks, it has become obvious that our desire to connect with an established firm with an outstanding platform of service offerings has been met,” said Sansing.  “That our client base, including Healthcare and Physician Services, fits well within LBMC’s family of companies causes me to believe that we have found a perfect partner…..a larger, well equipped partner… to help ensure that our clients maintain continuity of service for decades to come.”

“I can say that it has been my experience that LBMC’s founders have done an excellent job of growing a diverse, well established Tennessee based firm with the capabilities to address most any scope of work.  A firm whose Managing Shareholder, Jeff Drummonds, and its Managing Shareholder of the Knoxville office, Greg Gilbert, strive to ensure that the thoughts expressed on the LBMC website are more than just words…they are a true reflection of the culture of professionalism, teamwork, and quality of service our team has found with LBMC.  We are and we know our clients will be “happy to be here.”

Follis’ recent big four experience dealing with complex tax issue fills a strong need in this market for tax resources capable of responding to the most complex technical tax situations.

Follis serves clients ranging from global private equity groups and private equity backed portfolio companies, to publicly traded corporations in industries such as financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing and distribution.

Follis is not new to Knoxville as he completed his Masters of Accounting at UT in 2002.  His compliance and transactional experience will be invaluable for clients as they evolve and expand requiring more complex and expert tax insight to assist in those transitions. “I am excited to bring my family to Knoxville, a community that has everything we want for a home.  From a lifestyle standpoint, making a home in Knoxville is an easy choice to make,” said Follis. “LBMC has world class resources for serving its clients.  Coming to Knoxville and having the opportunity to introduce this market to everything the firm has to offer, and having the chance to contribute to the firm’s expansion of services in Knoxville is a great thrill.”
