Kansas City, Mo. – MarksNelson accounting and consulting firm is pleased to announce the following promotions.

 

Lisa Alden, CPA, MSA, has been promoted to supervisor in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Alden joined the firm in 2014.

 

Daniel Baird, MAcc, has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Baird has worked at the firm for the last year.

 

Cassandra Bott, CPA has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Accounting Services Department. Bott joined MarksNelson in June of 2015.

 

Emily Hanover, MAcc, has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Tax Department. Hanover started at firm in November of 2015.

 

Jack Maier, CPA, MAcc, has been promoted to manager in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department and provides services to clients in the Insurance and Manufacturing industries. Maier has worked at the firm for seven years.

 

Chris Mattix, CPA, JD, has been promoted to supervisor in the Specialty Services Department. Mattix has more than seven years’ experience, one of those at MarksNelson.

 

Wil Oden has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Oden has been with the firm since January of 2014.

 

Tim Penland, CPA, has been promoted to supervisor in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Penland has more than five years’ experience, nearly four of those at MarksNelson. 

 

John Riffel has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Riffel has worked at the firm for two years. 

 

Heather Shearer has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Tax Department. Shearer started at MarksNelson in January of 2015.

 

David Stevenson, CPA, JD, has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Tax Department. Stevenson joined MarksNelson with the acquisition of Marsh and Company.   

 

Jake Thomas, CPA, MAcc, has been promoted to supervisor in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Thomas joined the firm in December of 2012. 

 

Dan Van Dyke, CPA, has been promoted to supervisor in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Van Dyke has worked at the firm six years.

 

Allison Vaughan, has been promoted to senior staff accountant in the Assurance and Business Advisory Department. Vaughan joined MarksNelson in January of 2016. 

 

Shannon Wolcott, CPA, MPA, has been promoted to manager in the Tax Department and provides expertise in tax planning, research and compliance for clients. Wolcott has nearly 20 years of experience and has worked for the firm since November of 2015.
