Tempe - Henry+Horne employees squared off in June for a Fitbit competition to raise money for charity. The month long competition raised $1,300 for the Foundation for Blind Children.
Sixty employees were divided into five teams and the Firm donated 10 cents for every mile they walked. The Firm also matched the $643 raised by the teams with a donation from the Jeans Fund. Employees pay $1 to $5 to wear jeans every Friday.
The winning team got to pick the charity. Henry+Horne has also partnered with the Foundation for Blind Children to offer an internship that is helping a young, visually impaired student gain real-world job experience for when he enters the work force.
Henry+Horne holds monthly Fitbit competitions to encourage team engagement and healthy lifestyles. This is the second competition the Firm has done for charity.
